Gonna walk the dog and head out to Markham to test out the TacSol threaded barrel on the 10/22. I swear this thing feels like a toy now.

Funny, I am sitting in the waiting area at Markham right now. I am having a 22 day today too.

Damn I wish I could have been out there for the 22 day. Just got done with the class. I need to test the 10/22 with my TacSol barrel again.

I got seated right next to Dan. Anyhoo, I got ready to fire the first round out of the tac sol barrel and pulled the trigger and nothing.... as in if it were like I had the safety on. I play with the safety and it feels weird, so I try it again and nothing. I figure I need to take the trigger housing out and see what the heck happened. So I get some basic tools out of the car and proceed to strip the gun's trigger housing. Turns out the safety button somehow managed to turn 180 degrees, so no matter how you push it, it would not allow the trigger to fall. BTW, what a PITA it was to take the hammer pin out under tension since I couldn't release the trigger. I got it back together and the first round was a dang flyer by about 10" the rest were good at 50 yrds but strangely not so great at 100 yrds. I might have to replace the optic down the road...

It was nice meeting you yesterday Phil. I like your 10/22, I will have to put one on the wish list. For now I had fun with my old Browning 22. With the exception of the scope coming loose, I was thrilled with the performance at 100yds. Once I get the scope mount issue fixed, then I need to work on my shooting.

Get a little blue locktite on there.
