View Full Version : Ok, I have an addiction, another Mosin to the stable
I have now expanded my Mosin Nagant collection to 4 rifles. I bought a 1941 Sako M39 yesterday at the gun show. I am so happy. I have wanted an M39 since I first saw one. This one is in decent condition with most of the bluing intact and the bolt and receiver numbers match. The butt plate has no numbers on it and the magazine well plate has a non matching number on it. All in all I am very happy. There are no cracks in the stock and it appears to be in very good condition. The bore is a little dark, I worked on it for hours and it came back some but I think it needs to be fired and cleaned again. I have attached some pics of it. My collection is now:
M91/30 1935 Tula Hex
M91/30 1943 Isky Round
M44 1944 Isky Round
and now M39 1941 Sako Hex
This rifle was a B-day gift from my wife, how cool is she. Rumor has it that she also got me another rifle that will be here this week....wonder what it could be.

Beautiful rifle. I really need to get myself one. So did you get a chance to watch the Guns and Ammo episode on the Nagant? I really just caught the last end of it and so didn't really get to see them talk about it or anything.

I saw it. Not very complementary, they said it was too tough to operate and shoot. Bunch of pussies if you ask me.
