Is that an MP5 or the GSG look-a-like?

That's the GSG that he just got rid of.

I know the run is only once a year but not sure if the other part is correct or not( picked this up from another board)

I understand Colt only does a 9mm build once per year in Q1.
Now, another guy, Gordon at HKSpecialist.net, claims they have been discontinued for good and is asking several hundred more for the NIB's he has. He is the only guy I have heard that from and don;t know if he is confusing the seasonal build pattern with a permanent situation or not.

I may just keep the 6450 and register the lower as an SBR and just build the supressed upper

Now that sounds like a plan. =)

The upper receivers from Spike's come with the ejection port and forward assist. =)

At the next show or visit to Spike's I'll grab an extra if I have the additional cash at the time.

cool... i may grab one this weekend if i make it to the show...not as much of a need now since i am keeping the 6450 and registering that as the sbr ( gonna try to get the paperwork out tomorrow)..if you did grab one for me.. i could always get you cash before hand..no problem..thanks!

PS..im guessing the 9mm upper does not have a forward assist

Correct, 9mm uppers have the gas blocker and no forward assist.

And if you sent the money you'd definitely get one. =)~

A couple years ago, I went on a quest looking for a upper with no forward assist or deflector "bump", but with the lugs to handle a dust cover (basically a 9mm upper), as you can find the 9mm shell deflectors easily and you can always cut down a standard dustcover. As it turns out, they are really hard to find completely stripped. I wound up buying a RRA dedicated 9mm upper from adco (www.adcofirearms.com).

C3PO, do they have the 9mm deflector that can be put over the standard brass bump for use on 5.56 uppers? I'd like the larger deflector for one of my builds (specifically the future SBR, which I'll train with having closer to my face).

Thanks.

The 9mm deflector is held in place by the dust cover rod. Since the case length is so much shorter on the 9mm, they deflector covers the rear portion of the ejection port. I'm sure it would interfere with the standard operations of a 5.56/.223.
