We ended up getting some rain when we first showed up to the range but ended up being a good range day. Adam, you missed out, but now we all know you melt in the rain.

Was a fun time. Thanks to Cris and Phil for letting me take a few shots with their ARs. It was the first time I ever fired one. Now I know why everyone loves those rifles so much.

Not a problem you are always welcome to fire anything I bring to the range.

So, is that an MI 2-piece free float I see on your AR Cris?

Cris

Nope, Yankee Hill.

Yours is the SPR? I thought the carbine with the Aimpoint was yours.

That's the one Dan is shooting. Phil is shooting his own gun. I am not in any of these pics, just Dan and Phil. Phil had a few more pics but he is on a cruise right now.

The SPR is a DPMS Mini-SASS. That rail is their YHM knockoff. Originally I thought it was a YHM made rail but nothing YHM fits on it. Otherwise, it designed with nearly identical features.

The Mini-SASS is a nice weapon. That's the design I want for my SPR, but using YHM/Spike's/MagPul parts. I'm thinking all my builds are going to parts from those 3. =)

Yeah, when I bought mine (it was an 8 month wait), it was back when they came with the VLTOR Modstock. I changed it out with a rifle tube and spring and put on the Magpul PRS. The next year DPMS started selling the SASS and Mini-SASS with the PRS. I also changed out the grip with the MIAD grip as I thought the adjustable "target" grip was pretty ghey.

If I change out the rail, it will be for a long DD Lite. I do love the trigger on it tho.

why would you take pics of other men holding your girl and not one of you? why no solo pics of the gun at the range?

Cris always avoids the camera. He prefers to watch, he's kinky like that.

Phil has the pics, since he is posting now means he is back.

I'm having some tech issues where my camera isn't being recognized by my 'puter. My card reader can't read the SDHC cards I got for it. So for now, no pics until I can figure out wtf is wrong with my camera syncing.

Uninstall the drivers for it and reinstall.

I got a card reader I can let you use to see if that works.

I only had 3 pics since the battery was about dead on the camera. Consequently, no flash either.

There I am in my range officer shirt. LMAO!!

Odd, I only count 2 pics.

Ha ha. Figures you would notice. I didn't think the third deserved "air time".

You be the judge.

That's a big ass range bag (or is that a huge lunchbox/cooler?). How much ammo does it hold?

Dunno. That's Cris' bag. The rain was driving from the backside, but you can see it was still getting the rifle cases.

JaxChris

Well I just consider that some good "SHTF bad weather" training. =)

Cris

That range bag will hold everything.
