Well the weather finally broke, at least here it did. Fall is right around the corner, Im swerving to avoid all the little "crumbgrabbers" waiting for the buses, trees are starting to change color, and the TDS long sleeves and sweatshirts we got in not long ago are starting to look pretty good.

We've re-set the site to eliminate the ton of ammo that we don't have in stock. Looks pathetic to me but it'll be FAR easier to see what is actually in stock.
No we didn't stop carrying all those rounds, but instead of looking at zeros - this made sense.

Im still getting questions about .380. THis is the deal - there aint none, there probably wont be any for a while. Its considered a "seasonal round". Which means nothing to me and has never been explained other than the factories only run it once or twice a year. And the run time is so damn small, its spoken for before it gets out the door. So if you have it - keep it. If you see it - buy it.

Expect another shortage on 5.56 soon. The boys in camo did a service wide inventory and determined that based on current usage there wasn't enough rounds on hand and put in the largest order in recorded history.
Given that the G pays a pretty penny for 5.56, its safe to say that all hands are on deck working on that.

Doesn't look promising for the rest of us folks and working the logic backwards, doesn't look good for our folks in the "pits" either.

Use the code "SAVE" during checkout and get 10% off your order.

Code valid 9/11 - 9/13

Firearms and certain other items not included

The boys in camo pay whatever they want, after all its the tax payers money. They don't care what they pay. As long as they get the ammo they need.

Basically how it goes! They can care less what they're shooting or how much it cost as long as theres more ammo to send down range.

Lino, that be it a perdy collection of munitions you have there son! Iza coming over!

Umm, the Army owns the factory. They pay ATK to keep it running and cranking out ammunition. The Army gets whatever they want out of the factory when they request it. In exchange, ATK can put out more Federal/CCI/Blazer/Speer ammo than anyone else when not focused 100% on military needs.

So that's a proven fact that the Army owns ATK? Cool, I guess! It doesn't seem like it affects us much or does it?

NO, the Army doesn't own ATK. The Army owns the Lake City Ammunition Plant, they contract ATK to operate the installation for them, that is all.

TDS seems a little expensive on the ammo there. Other online places are cheaper

Also something to note, if this Army ramp up of munitions ordering is true this could delay 45ACP from hitting the market even more. This week 45ACP manufacturing was supposed to start and it would take about a month for that product to start hitting the marketplace. ATK runs a tight ship at Lake City and they can switch up calibers with a weeks notice.

Hopefully they don't put 45ACP on hold to help fill Army orders it will become as rare and high priced as 380ACP. Since the Army uses the M9 (92FS - 9mm) they don't have much need for 45ACP. The military takes a lot of 9mm, very little 45ACP, and Lake City doesn't make 40S&W - which is why 40 is the easiest to find at Wal-Mart, while 9mm is always in production, and 45ACP gets the shaft.

They used to be pretty decent priced. Not sure what happened though.

Ammoman.com got boycotted by AR15.com, so they are trying to remedy their reputation by being more competitive on price. They carry Wolf, S&B, Federal, and a couple others.

Ammoman 's prices are getting better but for a while there he was gouging scum like everyone else. He was getting like $300+/1000rds of 7.62x39. Now all of the sudden its on sale for $259.
