Enjoy peeps!

Beats all the dealers jacking up their price because they're supposedly becoming harder to get - yet there is a new dealer here in Tampa that is small as hell but is selling them for 329$ locally and said he stocks through RSR. I've got an order in with him for a PF-9 for the woman right now because he's good on his pricing. =)

So they finally dropped their price.

Impact Guns has had the lowest price going ever since the rush started on these.

Yep yep, I saw the same thing this month. Only place they were charging less was the Tampa show were the small shop had them for 100$ less. lol

Impact Guns has had the lowest price going ever since the rush started on these.

TheGunStore has had them going for 265$ ever since they came out but there's always been a wait a mile long. TGS has a really bad reputation so I'm surprised so many people still shop with them.

Right now I'm just really glad to see any signs of competition in the marketplace. =)

You can take my Colt Mustang Pocketlite to the range to see if you like it first. Granted it won't have nite sites like the P238, but it still shoots and feels the same.

As long as its better than the Beretta Tomcat, which it should be with the beaver tail. It might be in this week, but doubt it.

You dont like your Colt?

You dont like your Colt?

I do. I was searching for one for the past 10 years. Since I have the LCP, my plan is turn the Colt into a safe queen after I pretty it up with some glass bead.

Sig P238 is definitely a nice choice. Much nicer in person that what we saw at the shot show and the pics online.

so how much is the p238 going for? A guy on FSN is selling one for 600+shipping, im thinking that he might be overpriced. What do you guys think?

Not far off. I think they were $585 or $590 for the black model, not sure what the stainless model was.

You can fire it as much as you want as long as you buy the ammo hehehehe

JaxChris
09-22-2009, 06:19 AM
Ok, well I'd like to fire it for the next 2 months to get it out of my system again. Want to loan it to me for a bit? I promise it'll come back sparkling clean and be well treated. =)

Fine by me, as long as it comes back with 50rnds of ammo and a newcastle/yuengling/amstel.

Cris

If you're going to spend that much, get the PPS and be a more modern Bond.

Cris

The Bond gun is heavy, truthfully I don't think too much of it after seeing a few in person.

Well I don't think to much about your Megatron gun either, but you have that.

I happen to be a huge Bond fan.

Cris

The Megatron gun is far better than the Bond gun, come on now, its Megatron!!!!

The bond gun was my 3rd handgun purchase and for many years was my CCW. Back when I used to ride, it left me with few carry options because it was so heavy. I see the evolution of .380's firearms and see the PPK as a major stepping stone that is cool to own but by far miles behind its modern competitors. The PPS is a good example of how you can make a superior caliber firearm in the same size but lighter package.

I don't even want a shitty little .32 or .38 for carry. I just want it because it's a bond gun. I am still getting a .45 caliber Glock mother fucking 30 for my carry.

I also wouldn't mind a .44 magnum because there always seems to be some at wally world so I thought hey... a Dirty Harry gun couldn't hurt either, right?

Depends on the size of the .44 magnum. Ive looked at a few so far. S&W 6" is awesome on my .357, Guntech had a 4" barrel I believe on a .44, but I think its too short.

Dirty Harry also carried the .44 auto mag which is a real neat pistol. Not many made and ammo was pretty custom because it used a .308 rifle case cut down to a custom length with a custom bullet. The idea was to make an automatic that had the ballistic performance of the .44 magnum. I did a bunch of reading on it a while back because I thought it was cool.

Yeah in the later movies I think. Kick ass. Clint Eastwood is THE badass. Even in Gran Torino he kicked ass.

S&W model 29 was the Dirt Harry gun, I looked at getting one a few times myself. When you compare it to the 686 line though, the grip is far superior to the old 29's. Although the 29 has the cool factor just because it was the Dirty Harry gun after the first Dirty Harry movie, it was not the original. I forget what model it was before that.

In Sudden Impact, Harry was given the .44 Automag by a guy who was a gun smith who's wife Harry saved. He didnt have it long. The Model 29 was the revolver he carried through most of the Dirty harry movies.

I'm not sure what you mean here. I've always been under the impression that the gun he used in Dirty Harry, Magnum Force, and the Enforcer was a model 29.
