Stupidest thing I've seen this week...

So I went to play some cards in a poker league I play in last night. The event takes place at an establishment that has regular seating and a bar area. There is also a gaming area for pool, darts, video bowling, golden tee, etc.

Well I'm just doing my thing and being mindful of my surroundings when I notice a guy with a badge on his belt coming toward me. He has his shirt wrapped over and behind it to make it highly visible. As he passes I see that it is a Concealed Weapons Permit Holder Badge, just like you see at the gun shows. I pointed it out to the woman and about laughed my ass off.

Then a few minutes later I notice the same guy standing over at the bar. Someone keeps motioning him to sit at the bar with them but he keeps refusing.

I found this all very ironic since I had just talked to Cris about some carry situations 2 hours before that. I'm just wondering if the guy is trying to pick up girls by trying to look like he's some off duty cop.

Was at the kayak shop in Fort Lauderdale yesterday. This cute...and I mean cute young lady was helping me. I told her that the reason I was getting interested in kayaking was a special I saw on National Geographic about a young lady and her friend kayaking through the Evergaldes all the way down into Florida Bay. That and it's getting too expensive to run the Dusky anymore.

So she says to me, "What waterway did they come down?"

"I don't know, probably just down the canals." I responded.

"Oh," she says "I thought maybe they went down the Mississippi River!"

I Went back there today with a potential kayaking buddy, she was wearing a nice black wife beater t-shirt.
