Utilizes a Xenon bulb & 9 LED's for maximum brightness an fault tolerance. It is also powered by CR123 batteries (YAY).

Positives are:
1 - Uses CR123 batteries, best batteries for flashlights
2 - 1" Base and 1.5" Head, good for mounting
3 - Good life in LED mode, 30 lumen's is decent
4 - Excellent price, duh

Downsides for me are:
1 - No plunger switch on the bottom cap, bad for mounting
2 - No replacement bezel rings, no aggressive protective ring available
3 - Xenon & LED switches are identical, easily confused

A nice option to be powered by CR123 batteries. Good to know you have the reliability of the light working when you need it.

Yes indeed, the config plus knowing it takes CR123 batteries made it very appealing. Just wish it was more suited for rail mounting.

It could be rail mounted, but it wouldn't be very efficient.

Exactly, having side buttons and both identical so you can't "feel" which you're activating is what is deterring me. But I figured others might like it for a carry light.
