i guess soccer mom was not the quicker draw
You can open carry in PA? That is just plain bad ass.
Yeah, I remember that incident. Dude has marital problems for one week and he offs his wife and himself? wow. In light of a tragic situation, the one redeming thing that the gun control advocates can't use in this case is that he was a parole officer, so his firearm was required as an officer.
murder suicide is a chicken shit way to do it...:jerkit:
just do the suicide part :suicide1:

So now that makes 2 permit holders that have committed a crime with a firearm... ever. The first was a dirty cop in another state from what I've heard.

I fail to see the logic in wanting to open carry at a 5 year old soccer game, if its that bad a feild maybe she should drive little Jonny to a better and safer feild. Not to mention if you have ever been to a little league game with over acheiving parents, you would be better off trying to talk sense to the bloods and crips, and there would probably be less mud slinging and cheap shots.
Secondly, out of curiosity why would you want to open carry anyway. To me it takes lessens the odds of being approached as opposed to jumped, and even in an approach situation, if the perp knows without a doubt that you are carrying then he is going to be even more nervous and edgy, and your odds of sustaining injury or even death to me increase greatly. I guess it could be fun for Halloween if you wanted to go as Wyatt Earp or something like that, but to me concealed offers more options unless the guy is just advertising from a 100 yards away that he is coming for you.
If you read the comments at the bottom of the story they are already talking about guns and all the usual stuff that accompanies that.
I do agree with the guy that said leave out the murder and just stick with the suicide. I have never understood the purpose of taking people with you as you go, spiritually do you not think that if you kill you wife and you two end up in purgatory for a bit while everything is sorted out that she isn't going to be even a bigger bitch than she was in the living world. Know that sounds messed up but I fail to see the logic in killing/suicides, and no expert on any news channel is ever going to make it make sense to me.
Sadly these people will add to the 5% rule

I wouldn't mind open carry in Florida and still keep permits for concealed carry.

:+1: I'd always want to have the option to conceal as well.

I don't know Doug's opinion, but all except 1 cop I know prefers open carry over concealed because they are more situationally aware if the weapons are in the open. Plus they don't feel threatened by an open carry, they have theirs on too.
Only thing that concerns the cops I know about firearms is whether or not a person with a criminal history is hiding one on them when they stop or detain someone. And we all know criminals don't give a shit about the law and will find a way to get what they want.
