Looking to upgrade from the stock one. Any ideas? It's a pain with the stock one to pull back just pulling on the left side. You kind of have to do the split finger technique.

The big square latches aren't very tactical since they are prone to catching or dragging on things in tight movements. Plus they raise the profile of the weapon and poke up inside soft cases. A big rounded front piece is liked by many people without the need for it to stick farther out the side of the weapon. Just a thought.
Me, I like compact ambi latches. =)

This is the one you want, which is in stock as of this writing.

I have tried just about every CH or latch available and the BCM is the first smart design I've ever seen.
The Badger has lots of problems, from catching on gear to putting excessive stress on the roll pin. I would avoid them like the plague.

I have the ASAP. It's a great, solid piece. The one part of it I don't like is the loud tingy rattle of it when you've got slack (i.e. when your weapon is at the ready).
The BAD lever I have seen and played with. It is strong enough to do it's job, but doesn't out the other side of the trigger area. This means in order to engage it you actually have to reach by the trigger to actuate. If you have gloves on there is a chance you could end up discharging your weapon when trying to use it for a function check or malfunction clearing.
There are other options out there that stick out farther allowing use of the accessory without risk of hit the trigger. Granted, this would only apply to people with tuned light pull triggers or soft worn out triggers.

I don't have to reach into the triggerguard to actuate it the BAD. If you leave your fingertip on the magwell and push in your finger will bow and you can reach the BAD.
It's also aluminum, so if you want it to stick out more, you can bend it. ;)
Personally I think it protrudes exactly the right amount, and that's after using a Phase V and one of Travis's original prototypes.
