What are the impressions out there of this gun.
Im very interested in this bad boy, anyone seen or shot one yet?
:feedback:
They are very nice from what I have seen so far, a few people have bought them in the store. No feedback on them yet.
saw one at the gun show... want to shoot it
They are nice but I have two possible negative observations that I haven't confirmed to be real issues. The first thing I noticed is the Mini-14 look alike flash hider/suppressor on it. There are no flats for a wrench but the tech at Ruger confirmed with Rich that it does screw on. My fear is that the barrel thread may not match the standard 28x1/2" for those that may want a different FH or maybe a quick detach mount for their noise suppressor as I don't think the mini-14's use the same thread or else you would see them with AR style FH's.
The second thing that bothered me was that the gas block looks like it is pinned to the Troy free float rail making it really not all that free floating. Otherwise it looks like a nicely done rifle and a great value compared to a POF or LWRC.

issue one, I have confirmed the FH will unscrew and a phantom etc. will screw on (thread pattern is standard)
Issue 2, the rail is attached with several roll pins, not cool but I could live with it
