:bolt:
we are going to need some more cleaning people with all these rooms
I cant see many people posting in the XD room. Now if it was a Glock room, that would be a different story :rich:

XD population is probably double that of the Glock population on this board. =)
Thanks Chris, I now have a new area to infest.
Btw, can we stop having the 1911, Glock, and XD rooms link under Handguns AND under Semi-Auto? One or the other please?

Only reason the XD has such a good quality control is that it was never even a new pistol even before it came to the US market. It was developed back in 1991 in Croatia. It had serious issues and took many years to striaghten them out. Wasn't until later the design was perfected (around 1999-2000) at which point Springfield got the licensing rights(2002)http://world.guns.ru/handguns/hg48-e.htm Top one is made by Intrac the original designer (perfected model in 2000 was called the HS2000) and developer along with the XD (below it) which Springfield bought the American license for. They never designed the pistol themselves. They just adapted it to fit different calibers and sizes. On the other hand, the SR9 was the first striker fired pistol for Ruger and was designed solely by them and not some other company or country that they licensed the design from. On top of that the only recall Ruger SR9 had was to adjust the trigger more like Glocks and XDs (the blade trigger) to prevent accidental discharges when dropped. This is the only recall I am aware of on their SR9. Wasn't really needed but they decided to add it as an additional safety feature and not becuase something was wrong with the firearm. Research first my friend!

Oh and just to make sure Ruger, a true American company, both designed and developed the SR9. Unlike SA

Hey it's a good gun. The only thing I would change is the trigger a little. I think I may have some work done on it. I have also heard that the SR9, as it is a relatively new gun, will be having upgrades coming out etc in the near future.

The SR9 looks like the Hot Wheels company designed it.

lol why do people think it looks ugly. I looked at my album and don't think it looks ugly at all. Little skinny, not as blocky and bulgy as the XD or Glock, but that makes it easier to conceal which is what they were going for with the SR9. A full sized gun that you could conceal easier than the others. In that regard it succeeded

So you're saying it looks "pretty"? Guns aren't supposed to be pretty. =)
