Noticed that a lot or religious people carry. I can't even count how many gun sites out there that are run by very religious/devout people

They need to protect all the money they are taking from their members.

While a church may be recognized as a not for profit organization and not necessarily pay taxes, employees of not for profits do. A priest does get a W-2 and files 1040 as well.

As far as Seminoles, they are only exempt from certain State taxes generated on sovereign land. They can't open up a shopping mall on non-sovereign land and not pay sales and intangible taxes to FL. Just because they bought the land doesn't make it sovereign. They need to apply and be granted sovereignty by the state for land acquired by the tribe. Individual tribe members that own property outside of the reservation will still have to pay property taxes and they all pay income taxes.

Why do you think so many live on the reservation. Plus they get that nice monthly bonus from the casino, which allows them to not have to work and get all the drugs and alcohol they want.

The golf part is true lol. My buddy is married to a daughter of a guy who use to serve as the chief/ceo of a tribe in upstate Michigan. They played a lot of golf and drank a shit load. The father in law was smart though and tried to use casino money for better dental education etc for the tribe. The indians response was to kick him out lol. They wanted the money to go into their pocket for exactly what cris said. So now he owns his own insurance business I think. But yh they play a lot of golf up there.

My last knowledge of their monthly dividend was $4500 each per month, so if a family of say 4 made of pretty well.. now i knew of a family of 10 that was raking it in and had another on the way.. the kids also get money put away in a trust till their 18(they call it their 18 money) which comes out in 6-7 digit amount due to interest so the parents cant spend it before they are old enough. Many still go to work everyday despite this money, a lot invest in tribal and non tribal enterprises and others just waste it..
The girls have become targets because of this money by inner city types who hook the ones who say aren't too slim or pretty and then leech off them.. also Native Americans from less well off tribes target them for the same reasons.. the Dividend in a lot of ways is like reverse welfare where many just have become socially inept and have to have the Tribe do everything for them..

Just to add, they are paid the "stipend" based on the percentage original seminole indian in them. Obviously this promotes the mainenance of "pure" seminole bloodlines.
