Sup Guys,

I'm looking to aquire the SI Assault Gloves in black (94025-001) and the SI Ballistic M Frame 2.0 Strike Array - Black Frame (NSN# 4240-01-525-3095).

Thanks,

From what I see from those gloves, you might be better off just getting a set of motorcycle gloves. A lot of the local dealers carry Oakley products also.

They did a buy on those glasses earlier this year, I know SS1 got a set.

Oh, by the way those glasses are not cheap and much more if you want the amber lenses to go with it.

Yeah I know. I PM'd Troy just to see if he still had some in a vault from that group buy.

Good idea on the moto-gloves. I think the carbon fiber knuckle protector is a bit much.
Thx.

Actually the carbon fiber knuckle has become almost standard in a lot of the gloves. Most of my riding gloves have them on it.

really? I was thinking only the big heavy dirt gear had armor on the knuckles. I'll have to head to a bike shop then. My Hatch's are wearing out.

Most of your motocross gloves still have plastic, only a few have carbon. Your street riding gloves are mostly carbon. I like the fit and options for the motocross gloves, plus they usually have extra grip on the finger tips for brake and clutch control, which also works out perfectly for shooting. You could also buy a few pair for what those Oakley gloves cost.

They look nice. They look like they are full leather wrapped which means HOT to me. Dude I sweat more than a pig in a Lechon cook off competition. I'm looking for something that will let my sweaty hands breath, assist me on my grip, yet thin enough to operate buttons and lever release and protect my hands from 2 degree burns when rapid firing my AK.

I ride quads and my off road gloves will seem to fit this task better but they don't have knuckle shields, except for some rubber strips.

I would stick with the moto gloves also, just for the comfort factor.

I heard the Mechanix gloves work well too. Don't have the knuckles protectors but never understood why shooting gloves had them anyways

The armor knuckles are for tactical purposes and are not to be confused with pure shooting gloves. I have shooting gloves and they have certainly saved me from cuts and scrapes, however, it would be nice to know that you have that extra bit of protection without sacrificing mobility and that much trigger feel.
