I really never had a problem with the slide release on the XD, the mag release on the other hand gives me issues when trying for speed on a reload.

Looks like a very well made part though

Yeah I haven't found the need for one either. Now on a Glock it makes a big difference. I have no probs with the mag release as I use my middle finger to drop the mag, not my thumb, gotta love that ambidextrous mag release.

I started looking at these last night after a breif session about handling guns with my son. He is lefty and had allot of trouble releasing the slide.. he was using his left index finger... how do lefties normally do this?

They buy a gun with all ambidextrous controls. Or try rid themselves of the Lefty's disease and learn to be ambidextrous themselves. Watch out for those lefty's, they are the devil. LOL!!!

Get an HK P30 or HK45. They are pure ambi. Yeah, that's the ticket... :)
