I love my Truglo's. They have the added benefit of helping during the day.

I have both and I like them both. The Truglos do have an added benefit of the fiberoptic, however, the snagless rear sight profile makes certain emergency clearing drills a little more difficult and I've seen a handful come into the shop with the fiber optic fallen out making target acquisition that much more difficult. Still, IMHO, you can't go wrong with either if you want night sight capability which is a whole 'nuther argument.

trij/mepro's, they're great. I personally have trij on my hk, and I couldn't be happier. would like to try out another brand on the sig...or I could just buy a light!

so.. couple questions..I read that green in front and yellow in the back are the best combo... the pic I posted demonstrates this setup with the TruGlo.

I was now told that I may have this reversed.. im just confused..

:feedback:

additionally... where is the best place to buy them.. have them installed.. does it have to be the same place for best deal?

the colors on front and rear a 100% purely personal choice, some opposing colors are helpful to people to differentiate the front and rear sites, for some it doesnt matter.

Mine are all the same

There is no "best", look at the choices and choose the one that works best for you

The ones I've commonly seen in two colors are green front and yellow rear. As Chris says, it is purely a personal preference.

How much depends on the gun. For Glocks you will find it to be very cheap to install or many times free install with the purchase of the sights. For XD's, it is a big ordeal as the stock sights are pressed in place with such tight tolerances that you have to spend a lot of time not just taking the old sights off, but also the fitting of the new sights back on. I doubt any store/gunsmith will install them without additional charges.

In the past Rich was not charging extra for XD's, but after losing lots of expensive brass tools to XD installs, I noticed that there is now an installation fee.

Hrm, I thought it was yellow front and green rear, maybe I was wrong.

Hmmm, I remember yellow fiber optics on the rear, but now you have me thinking, as you would think yellow would pick up faster.

ETA: actually the pic above with the 6 XD's has green front and yellow rears.
