So I think I'm in the market for a small, lightweight, hammer-less, 38 caliber revolver. I've never been a fan of the Taurus semi-autos. But, how bad could their revolvers be? Any suggestions?
Their revolvers I have never really heard a bad thing about, all the people that I know own them, love em. I am still waiting to get more feedback on the LCR.

Cris, how much is the LCR going for?

I forget how much they are, but I do remember they are cheap as shit, when you compare it to S&W pricing.

Even with the Crimson Trace grip, they were cheap as shit.
Chris Mia has one..maybe he can chime in..

Really? Even with the CTC grip? What are we talking? 450$ with CTC and 325$ without? I'd call that cheap as shit. lol
The S&W 442 Airweight is 430$ and a rock solid performer from what I've read.

I have myt buddies and it's great. I borrowed it for this training I was doing and I loved it. He may not get that bad boy back! It's hammerless and feels good in the palms.
I'd recommend it to anyone! I've been thinking about getting a revolver myself and that's what I've looked at purchasing. The pricing doesn't seem half bad either.

I forget the exact pricing but it was damn good. If you are going to get any of the above and want a CTC with it, order it with the gun, you will save an easy $75 right off the top.

It's funny. When we get a gun in for repair, we have a tendency to send the Taurus guns back to Taurus because of the warranty but we work on pretty much everything else. A couple of weeks ago a guy came in with a Taurus revolver and wanted to lighten up the trigger. I was able to use a S&W J frame light mainspring and polished up the trigger and I must say it felt pretty damn good. If I had time to play with the sear with a stone, I think it would have huge potential.
Disclaimer: You should not put in a light mainspring for a carrygun as it could cause light primer strikes when you least need it. This guy absolutely wanted it regardless.
and C3PO was right there, to accommodate.

as he looks at his watch as says "I can do that......"

I'm thinking this may be the one!
Hey SS1, any of them in stock?
I don't know. I've been really busy and haven't spent much time in the shop last week but we tend to order Judges and not much more.

i have a .38/.357 7 shot, pictured in my profile pic.
i don't think it will make a good carry piece because it's pretty heavy, but it shoots great!

to be real quick about it. I trust their revolvers enough that I purchased one and put a crimson on it. It is now my wifes protection gun
Just sayin

They can definitely order them for you. Usually the ultra lites I have seen were customer orders, not stock.

According to Taurus they are able to use +P ammo.

Looks like Taurus may have them on backorder status. Sounds like they are hard to come by.
I wouldn't go to the range and blast 50 rounds of +P ammo through it. But in a fight or flight situation I'd unload all 5 into their ass!

just a personal preference and a suggestion, why not get it in .357 and have the option to shoot .357mag, .38spl and any of its loadings without worry. getting it in .357 just gives you much more options, and like it has been said here before, you always want more options!
you always want more options!

357mag is bringing the pain on yourself. Shoot 6 of those at a range and you'll likely never wish to do it again.

357mag isn't that bad from my experience. but the thing is, getting it in 357mag will allow you to use all the .38 loadings you want while still using the same gun. so if 357 is too much, you can step down to a 38load and not worry about damaging the firearm.
