View Full Version : Gold Apparently Motivates 3 Shootings
bad time to be flaunting flashy jewellery nowadays..

Thieves will take anything they can get these days. With all these people being out of work, flashing your "Tony Montana" look is not recommended.

FUCK... my buddy just called me.. he went to Best Buy right now, ran in to get some component wires.. gets back to his truck... fuckers broke in (less than 10 mins he was gone) stole his loaded Glock 26 with a built in lasermax... he called the cops to report it.. but he will never see that thing again..
worst part is now some scumbag criminal has a stolen, loaded, gun ready to commit more crime...

yh that's not good...he should have brought it in with him. I will not leave my gun in my car regardless. If I know I am going somewhere I can't carry I just leave it at home

Even if he could get it back I wouldn't want it back.
Even if he could get it back I wouldn't want it back.
why.. what if it were in perfect shape?
How do you know it wasn't used in a crime?
How do you know it wasn't used in a crime?
yeah, you would never know...
but I think about it like this.. the AK kits although they are not 100% foreign still have components of rifles that may have injured or killed us troops.. its not the gun fault...
legally I do not have the answers, perhaps the LEo could chime in:
could you be held liable for a crime committed with your firearm while it was not in your possetion? or before it was recovered from a theft?
That's the chance you take if you want the gun back. Personally I would not want to have to even be questioned about my firearm. But hey, that's me.

I don't think so. Assuming you filed a report with the police they would keep it on file. The only likely way your gonna get it back is if a guy is caught with it and/or if it is used in a crime. When that happens the police take it and log it in. At that time they will find that it was stolen and see that you were the rightful owner. The person caught with the gun will on top of whatever crime they were charged in the first place will also be charged with possession of stolen property. Once they are done with the firearm for whatever they need it for, such as evidence in a shooting etc, they will return it to you free and clear.
Well that is my understanding. You would not be held liable for anything that happened with the gun from the moment you reported it stolen til the time it was given back to you.

I'd say Yes and no!
If you got say a police report then eventually you'll be squared away. Of course you still have to go through the process.
There are criminals now that have went to jail for crimes they didn't commit, but they bought a dirty gun from fuck face and it had x amount of kills on it. Guess whose going to be facing alot of those charges now?
Not a chance you'd really want to take honestly!

Unless of course they found that you falsely claimed it was stolen so that you were able to use it in a crime but that is a whole different thing

Why was his loaded gun left in his truck again?

These days no one ss really safe from intrusion by these criminals. All you can do is try your best to safe guard yourself and your loved ones.
he carried it on him earlier, but did not want to go into best buy with it.... now its gone

I'm just getting use to my Crossbreed and concealing my SR9. Bought some new shirts to make it a little easier for me to conceal as mine were a little short (alright alright sure someone is gonna make a crack at that one lol) and when I leaned over etc there was a tendency to reveal my grip.
But when I leave the house with it I always make sure I feel comfortable of where I am going and carrying in the places I will be stopping. If not it get's left at home.

Well if I was him I would have brought it in with me and not left it in the car. I don't really have issues carrying, but if I were going to the courthouse or something, there would be no way I would just leave it in my car....unsecured especially
all this crime has me thinking of updating all the locks on my front door.. gonna get some good shit to try to make it harder for the bad guys.. last night I tested my alarm and they responded in around 30 seconds...

Hell yeah! I'll be going over some planning with the wife to make sure she has it all down packed.
That's why I've been looking at the safes, just don't have $3,000 laying around. Especially after my damn accident!

Don't really know right now. I would love something that would talk to my cell phone and alert me if I am not home that the alarm has been tripped. Also would love to have the ability to add cameras that I could view from any computer. Not sure if I want it to be monitored or not yet. Would love to have it also be motion detected but I also do have three dogs (very small though). I was looking at this website to buy and install myself (hmmm guess I do know what I want lol):
http://www.homesecuritystore.com/c-73-wireless-alarm-systems.aspx?pagesize=9999
And as you can see I def. want it to be wireless. I was looking at these two but I know very little about alarms.

I like how they have remote access. The first one however doesn't mention the possibility of installing cameras though and the second one does. It would also be nice if it has it's own battery backup in the case the power goes out or is cut:)

Also one keypad would be fine. As in the case of the second one I listed above it has sensors that goes over other doors, windows etc and if tripped will relay to the keypad. I don't think I have the need for multiple keypads. I don't live in a large home and 99.9% of the time I will only be entering via the front when the alarm is active.
