Man's a criminal and doesn't deserve any rights. Any kind of criminal act should be allowed to be defended with a gun. Not sure specifics but I hope this guy loses along with his $10k

when will the crap end?
I got to stop looking at all this news... this is just rediculous that a judge would even waist the courts time with this crap.
They should have shot until the threat was stopped, meaning his heart stopped, until that point the threat is still always there. Then you wouldn't have this case right now. Until people start thinking this way, the criminals will just keep finding other ways fuck the law or possibly come back at you.

I thought there was a law, or a clause that prevented that from happening. I do not know this to be fact but it was explained to me that ( in Texas anyway) there was a law that prevented home, automobile, and business owners from being sued for using force to stop or prevent a robbery or assualt (the being in fear for your safety thing still applies though).
To me once you cross the line your rights are significantly reduced, pretty much to the point of having the right to remain silient and the right to a criminal attourney.
Honestly if the guy had to pay it I would chip in a dollar if others would so that in the end he wouldnt be out a dime for doing what was his right.

Well it depends on your state. Florida does protect homeowners, business etc as we have the castle doctrine.
And that $10k that the criminal has to come up with is actually for the business. The judge ordered that he must surrender $10k so that at the end of the suit if he loses then it is given to the business to cover their legal defense

That's my stance. Termination is elimination.
