It doesn't say the second person was shot. Possible he was, but if there was another weapon involved, he could have been cut/stabbed, or i there was another gun involved then hopefully it came from that. To clear that up, I just don't want bad press on the LEO for doing his job in what sounds like a worse situation than what the article presented.

So it soundslike one guy cut/stabbed the other and the Sgt once he got involved was forced to fire on the aggressor.
