quick question....

I was checking here:

http://www.broward.org/parks/safety.htm

and it says:

"Possession and/or discharge of firearms, weapons, fireworks, rockets, and/or explosives within any park (except at the Markham Park Target Range) is strictly prohibited."

from that, i understand that i cannot bring a gun to a park, even when this are county parks not federal parks. but with a CWP can you left your gun locked in your car?

If the park is not allowing you to do so, then you can not. Even at Markham when you get the range area there is a sign that says no loaded firearms.

State Law supercede's Federal Law - no matter what those Democrats want you to believe. Local laws do *not* supercede state law though because cities & counties derive their laws from that states constitution.

If you feel you should be allowed to carry there, then do some research. Find out if that park receives any funds from the state budget. If it's a named line item then it is state sponsored and there is no state law preventing carry in state parks. Maybe you can file a complaint and have it changed.

thank you for the answers.
so, short answer is no,
long answer would be, maybe if you can find the hole in the law.

Yea, I'm not saying go do it. I'm just saying there are some parks that receive money from the state budget that have local laws imposed on them illegally.

The general concensus among the members here is that if a place doesn't allow armed citizens, then fuck them and they can only serve criminals.
