View Full Version : grip tape in concealed? what is your experience?
Grip tape seems like a neat idea to have more grip, but some people says that if you do that in a concealed gun, it will be more a hassle because it will grip in your clothes as well.
What is your experience? :hunter:
Having a small glock 26, I’m thinking that it could help a bit when the hands are sweaty or the gun is sweaty from being concealed.

though I dont have experiance with grip tape I do carry stippled grip guns.
It sticking to your clothes really is more of a matter of how you carry etc. I personally havent had any real issues but I wear baggy clothes normally

I'm surprised Cris didn't say "well if you had a Crossbreed you wouldn't have that problem". lol

The crossbreed doesn't stop my big bulky XDm hand from stabbing into my back sometimes when I'm driving. Well more like imprinting it's grip textures into my back.
Depending on how and where you carry and the clothes you wear, but I'd see it more of a problem. Stippling is probably better.

The crossbreed will help the tape from hitting your body, but not rubbing up and grabbing your clothes. I would opt for the stippling in this case also. And don't forget your crossbreed holster FTW!!! LOL!!:raspberry:

:+1:
stippling looks good. ill wait for the warranty to expire before to go ahead on the stippling.

Glock will fix any part as long as its still factory.

I was about to say, not so sure about Glock but warranties don't expire on XD's. Even if you're not the original owner you can just call them with the serial number, mail it to them, and they fix/test fire/return for free.
