Love this sentence:

"The boy's family claims the gun was defective and unreasonably dangerous, and they blame the failure to properly service it"

Unreasonably dangerous. Ummm yes guns are dangerous and a jam does not mean a gun is defective. lolol

I still think he should NOT have been shooting an Uzi at 8 years old. He was clearly to wimpy and uneducated about firearms. Stupid parents.

The father is a doctor IIRC. I remember when I first read this, I could almost feel his pain as I have an 8 y.o. son as well. I was thinking how the hell could he even face his wife and that he should have put the uzi to his own damn head after the accident. Damn straight that if my son ever got to shoot any firearm, I would be controlling the situation. As idiotic as the father was, the sponsor to the shoot should have never allowed having a kid supervise this.

The father is still first to blame no matter how you look at it. Guess he hands loaded guns to his son at home as well, or did.

Now they're suing so they can feel less guilty and get some sort of false comfort. It's ok, it won't slow it's chase on their conscience. That will haunt them for the rest of their lives.

Well I'd be more concerned over paying debts from funeral and burial costs over anything, sure the lawyer twisted their arm on this one as well. Seeing they probably jumped in like vultures for a payday.

Well I'm sure that's probably a likely scenario. Their minds have got to be searching for some sort of justification though after letting something that horrible happen. It's human instinct. Lie to yourself so you don't go insane.

The parents should be counter sued for allowing the child to shoot this firearm. Do I feel bad for the kid, yes. Do I feel bad for the father that allowed him to shoot a full automatic uzi, FUCK NO!!! He thought he was damn special before this all happened. Fuck him, he is a total fucking idiot.

:+1:
Kid was to young to be handling a uzi of all things and he should of had proper supervision if anything.
Parents are Fuck Nutts!
