DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. -- A man threatened to kill the driver of a garbage truck and then fired a shot into his vehicle, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
Police said that just before 5:45 a.m. on Sept. 26, Kelvin Clark was driving his garbage truck out of the Waste Management parking lot in the 3800 block of North Powerline Road when he noticed a Mustang that was fishtailing.
Clark stopped, police said, and the Mustang spun around and came to a stop. According to BSO, the Mustang's driver got out of the car, opened Clark's driver-side door, said he was a Marine and threatened to pull Clark from the truck and shoot him in the head.
Clark started to drive away, but the Mustang's driver got a gun out of his car and fired one shot into the garbage truck's passenger side, police said.
BSO said the bullet missed Clark, who was uninjured. The Mustang drove away south on Sample Road.
The Mustang's driver was described as a man in his mid-20s who is 6 feet tall and 200 pounds with several tattoos on his arms. Clark told police said the man was missing some teeth on the left side of his mouth, toward the back.
Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
