Well, I finally got a chance to test fire the S&W 340PD. 25 rounds of pure punishment. I loved it, I couldn't get enough. Yes, my hand hurts, the webbing between my thumb and pointer finger to be exact. This will be a fun gun to torture friends with.

Yup I had enough, that wont be a gun for me, sticking with my .45
You only shot one round, you don't get your man card back until you shoot a full cylinder.

No .38's. Don't even have any. All I can think of to compare is punching someone in the face.
Mosin's dont recoil that hard. That pistol of Cris, looks like it will rip your arm off.
I wouldn't go that far Dan, but it packs quite the punch. Anyone is more than welcome to shoot it, if you want to form your own opinion of it. I always like a good laugh.

That's the 340PD. I said the same too, but continued to 25 rounds.Man if it's that bad, I don't see it being a very good self defense gun. A good enough adrenaline rush and keeping that thing steady may turn into an impossible task.

It can definitely be controlled, with an adrenaline rush you won't even feel the kick of it in your hands.
