What type of snakes are they?
Black Garder Snake.. they are harmless
Common ring-neck snake. My son and I found a tiny one like that a few weeks ago sunning itself by the front door but with a bright red ring. Cute.
Did you kill it?
nope, I released it into the lanscaping..
my son was scared of it .. LOL he wanted to set it on fire and cut it in half and then stomp on it :bolt:

That's what you should have done. They will just come back and multiply.

The only way to tell snakes to fuck off is to chop up the ones you catch and spread their guts along the property line. The scent of rotting snake tells another snakes not to go near. Did this for years up in Jacksonville. First snakes of the wet season were sacrificed and for the rest of the season the yard was clear... but the neighbors yards weren't. =)~

I don't have a problem with my snakes as they are small and harmless and they eat other crap. I do have a shitload of frogs although most are small. I need to find a way to get rid of them because I do have some small dogs and I caught about to eat a dead dried out frog. No good. Anyone have any ideas to get rid of frogs?

Lol yeah but they are tiny tiny tiny. At least most of them. I need to redo my screens in the Florida room as they are sneaking in there. I was hoping there was something that I could spread around my property to help keep them at bay, or kill them sorta like an ant trap or something.

they sell this powder you put in your garden.. it makes the snails bubble up into a frothy dead mess...
both salt and beer kill snails. Not sure about frogs tho.

If you want something less barbaric to spread around the edge of the property and edge of the house, you can use lye and limestone. Only problem is that it can be a poisonous mixture for pets, if you have any.
Safest method is just spreading their guts because it's the only other real "keep away" scent for most snakes.

we are no longer talking about snakes.. that threat has been neutralized.. frogs are the next order of business.. please keep up with these thread...

I've heard a spray bottle with ammonia does wonders on the frogs/toads, apparently they don't like it too much as they run (make that hop) like hell when it hits them. I'm told they run away and die a slow painful acid bath death.
