I know it's short notice. I'm heading out to the boondocks this afternoon to try out my SIG556, have fun with my old AK and a couple of handguns. Anybody is welcome to come.
Just give me a call. 305-345-0525.

Thanks Lino. Really sucks I wasn't able to shoot but time has been hard to find since getting the house. Great to finally meet you! Oh the not that you didn't know the TRP is the shit! lol
Great to finally meet you!
 let me know how the ammo works for you... M@X gave me a brief field report and said the rounds performed well.. and that the 180 gr .40 had less muzzle rise than his regular 165gr..:)
I had a crazy shooting day.. @ 15 yrds my first 3 shots... the 9mm XD conversion first shot bullseye, swapped to the 40 barrel, bullseye... pick up the TRP for the first shot ever.... BULLSEYE !!... it went downhill from there LOL

the TRP out of the box is awesome.. smooth, very little recoil... not crazy about the mags.. have some Chip McCormicks (spelling) on order.. every range nazi at Markham had to come over and fuck with it.. I hate that..

shot my buddies guns.. .40's with hair triggers.. cool for target, but you cant carry something like that... every time I shot the silver one.. the safety would engage.. you have to shoot it with you thumb on the safety

did about 100 9mm, 100 40, 100 .45, 100 5.56
got to try the 9mm firedragon.. I need a softer spring.. the second mag was flawless.. the first had 3 FTE stovepipes.. but dead on bullseye on the first shot. poi is almost identical to the .40... yeah yeah yeah.. Im shooting a little left :fu:

I will try to post some video of my friends getting de-virginized, shooting high power rifles for the first time:hunter:.
The AK shot as always expected and I kinda left the SIG556 for the end. WOW! I'm in love all over again. SIG might have crappy ass customer service and shit on replacement/aftermarket parts but the out of box experience for the SIG556 (classic) with the Sig Sauer/China made red dot package was great.
This rifle having an A2 type flash/comp was surprisingly docile with no kick or climb, QA with rapid fire was accomplished with ease even though the trigger feel is different but it doens't take much to get used to. The factory retracting/folding stock felt good and the ergonomics in general are perfect for me. The factory polymer/plastic magazine is shit but that is easily rectified by replacing it with Pmags. I cycled about 210rds. of the Stonehart's premium reloads, which performed without a glitch and seemed to burn clean. CLeaning her was pretty fast and simple. Similar to the AR type rifles, you have 2 take down pins to separate the lower from the upper receivers. The lower receiver was spotless with no fouling/carbon residue. The upper was the only part that would need cleaning focusing more on the bore, piston and cylinder.
I'm really satisfied with the overall experience of this rifle and I truly beleive that this is definitely the foundation of the SIG's trademark.
every time I shot the silver one.. the safety would engage.. you have to shoot it with you thumb on the safety.
WTF?:yikes:
I really hope that is due to the fact that someone got really happy with a file.
