I may be able to trade my eotech 516 for an aimpoint ML2 w/ 2x magnifier...this is to sit atop my suppressed 9mm ar... i think i should do it..but i have always to the aimpoint...:feedback:
Think about the rifle's function. Will it be a long range shooter or a close quarters defense weapon? I would think being a 9mm suppressed rifle, it will be used within a 50yd distance. For that reason I would keep the eotech.

Myself I would take the aimpoint....but that's me. Can always have a flip mount for the magnifier so you don't need to use it.
keep eotech and get the aimpoint.. :)

:+1: but Eotech is better in close quarters, faster target cquisition etc
I have to disagree on that. I would say they are both pretty damn quick.

my only concern is that the aimpoint ML2 w/2x may be a little big for my suppressed 9mm AR..the entire gun is under 23"

I just like Aimpoint way more than Eotechs to be honest.
That may be close Adam, moving it back may not be such a great option either, I know my Aimpoint goes over into the rail without a magnifier on it.

Well in that case Aimpoint! I like Aimpoint just as much as the Eotech so go for it.
I'm neutral. I like both. The only thing that isn't really apples to apples is that the aimpoint is a 2x which makes shooting with both eyes open and getting full CQC field of view difficult. The ACOG somewhat mitigates it with BAC, but it doesn't work with everyone so they came out with the DOC optic add on. On my 9mm SBR, I have an aimpoint micro T1. It keeps it light and compact.

i agree but then on the other hand.. with the QD mount i can throw it on the .223 ar as well and have the magnification... i am going to meet with jon tomorrow night or saturday and check it out

got the aimppint tonight... still think it may be a bit big for the 9mm but i can always put it on the .223 should i get an aimpoint micro for the 9mm

awesome...I love Aimpoints. Little down the road I was planning in swapping out the Barska on my AR for an Aimpoint with magnifier on flip mount

My SBR for next year will hopefully have enough of a budget for an Aimpoint T-1 on a LaRue mount. =)
