Notice I didn't say 'Best' because I'm sure thats subjective but I'm interested to know what ranges people have experience with and like going to for long gun practice. Taking into mind the range conditions, options and more importantly, the attitude of the staff. Sorry if it's already been asked but I couldn't find it in the threads. If you have experience outside the listed counties thats fine too. I listed them because thats my general sphere of travel.

Markham is my option also because its so close. The staff is OK most of the time. Just like any where though, you always have the dick.

For me from past history, it's Pop Dean's Gun Club; however, although I'm a member there, I haven't been there in at least 4-5 months and I hear the winds of change are forever shifting over there..... for the worse.

I do/did like it because it is private and at 100 yrds, you have basically the same distance as Markham but you can do a fast mag dump if you wish or shoot reactive targets such as soda bottles, steel, or even tanerite.

Markham is strict but most of the RO's over there are cool with the exception of that one jack booted dickhead. Once they know you and feel comfortable that you know the rules, they generally leave you alone or just check out the toys you brought. The lack of true competition tho makes it very busy on weekends and when a shooting club has an event there, it may take hours before you can get on.

I've had many opportunities to go out to the PBSO's range but things always have come up and have never had a chance to shoot.

I've been to indoor ranges in PB and St. Lucie counties, but only pistol.

None...

I live in Dade.

S. FLA needs a Pop Dean's Gun Club type range.
I don't have any idea how hard that could be like permitting and liability insurance but business should be good if anyone actually gets it done.

Has anyone here been to the PBSO range?
