Alright so i still have about a year before i can get my CWP. I was doing some reading and since they allow you to go to the Department of Agricultural and consumer services offices to get all your paperwork and other requirements done and they say it takes about 2-3 weeks if you do it with them. So my question is as far as doing the class. Do i have to be 21 or can i do it before and just get all the paperwork done and sent in once i turn 21 or do i have to wait to get the class out of the way?

Yes, you can do the class before hand. I have had a few people and friends do it that way.

Remember though that (at least I was told) that the certificate expires after like 6-9 months and you will need a new one. When I took the class at Bass Pro that is what they told me. It could be completely wrong however judging on other things they also told us. lol
Yeah, I believe that is false. Seeing that a hunters safety course will suffice for the application also. Which I know a lot of people did when they were 14 years old. So I think they lied to you Anthony.

:+1: I took the course at Markham back in the mid 80's when the instructor's SSN was the actual instructor ID on the card. Used it for my CWP application in '94.

awesome... That means i will start looking for somewhere to take a class... any suggestions. I know some of you guys on here are instructors. whos closest to the hollywood fl. area. probably do it sometime in the summer.

i will definitely let you know...As of right now it looks like ill be doing it in the summer. With school and hopefully work i will be busy for the next few months.
I hope to be gone by then, but Secpro should have his certs here pretty soon also.

I should have them now but, I don't know if it's the TC bullshiting or the NRA. I'm down to do a class if ever I get my shit of course.
Well you can always set up a class that we can do together for right now. Lets get this thing rolling.
