View Full Version : Sellier & Bellot
I recently switched over to using this manufacturer for my ammunition. From the very first range day I noticed how much cleaner the rounds were. I am not sure if it has anything to do with it but with the ejected casings I could tell they were hotter. They are still very fairly priced compared to all the other cheap range rounds out there also. Ever if they were more at this point I would stick with them just for the maintenance.

I'm glad you've had good luck with S&B. The only 2 issues (over 800 rounds) I've ever had with my Sig P229ST was with S&B. I haven't tried them since.
What were the issues you had?

You know the usual S&B problems..... Squibs, FTF's, steel core bullets drilling thru backstops or ricochets back at shooter, catastophic booms, etc... LMAO, j/k. I bought 2,000 rounds of S&B's 9mm ball and had absolutely no issues for me unlike the cheap Remmington UMC ball crap.

Never had an issue with S&B in my Colt .45. Been through about 2000 rounds.

I personally run S&B
Ive probably gone through about 8000 rounds of 223
I havent experianced one failure and the majority of the brass has been reclaimed to be reloaded by my father.
The brass is good ,the ammo is reliable and accurate and runs EXTREMELY clean for a value priced ammo.
Probably one of the best buys on the market IMHO

I have witnessed Phil using S&B at our courses and have never seen him have any problems with it through his Sig.
I have personally used it myself and love their ammo. I would like to get some more for myself down the road.
I just got a case of S&B 223 a few months back. Haven't used any of the case yet, but I have used S&B in the past and have always been pleased with it's performance.

since you're not using any, ummmm....gimme some
As Wade said, I shot a little over a half case Friday/Sat and had no problems with it. Very clean and didn't leave much copper fouling in the barrel. They make great .223 and .380ACP ammo as well. I am going to buy some S&B .308 Win this week and try it against some of the really good Lithuanian .308 surplus ammo I bought a few months ago. The Czech's apparently make some good stuff.

Sure! How 'bout $600 a case....probably cheaper than the going rate right now. :fu:
$700 for Asian Joe. He won't shoot it either, because he doesn't shoot his guns.

I actually found another case of 9mm after you cleaned the shelves off the other day.

how much is a case of SB 9mm at guntech?
They used to be about $200 per 1000 rounds. Who knows when the new shipment comes in.
The last shipment was about $10 for a box of 50. No idea if the suppliers will bump the pricing for the next batch (if Rich can get any soon).
