So I have a 627 w/6 1/2in barrel on layaway at the gun shop. I'm proly going to get a pair of Hogue grips, heard a lot of bad things about the ribber grips and I have big hands. My question is what is what do you think a decent scope for it under $100, I only need it to be accurate up to 100 yards at max(not even sure if a handgun can be accurate that far). But yea you get the point, Just want to get a half way decent scope for it.

I have a 6" Colt King Cobra .357 that I had bought for hog hunting back in '92. Since it doesn't have a rib with scope mounting points, I had to buy this barrel shroud that integrated a weaver mount to which I mounted a Simmons 4x32 pistol scope in satin silver to match the gun. After one hunting season, I learned that scopes on pistols are for me at least are impractical, so I ditched it. YMMV.

Yea I figure they were impractical but just wanted an expert opinion on it, now I have one. Think I'll save the money and buy a few hundred rounds instead.
