This model comes with 2 magazines, the fiber optics option on the front sight including 6 replacement inserts in red and green. This is the my first firearm with fiber optics and I hope it works well for me.

I have several friends that own different models and they swear on their accuracy, making them great budget plinkers. I look forward to possibly replacing the grip and having a trigger job done on it.
I got it at the Gun Show this Saturday for $460 which I think it is still a bit steep but I've been looking for this model for a while now.

They make integrally suppressed barrels for that model, don't they?

My wife's cousin has one with the inetrgrated suppressor. It is pretty darn quiet with sub ammo and when he uses regular LR it is as loud as a paintball gun.
I'm tempted to make this puppy whisper but considering that it has a 6" barrel, putting a can will make this thing way too long. So I'm just going to leave it for plinking at 100yds.

Not if you go integrated....could probably get the same barrel length

I used to have a Beretta .22 similar to that. I had to get rid of it after I found out it was stolen!

They are fun to shoot. These Rugers are tackdrivers and a lot of people swear by them having almost the same performance as a custom made one.
I conducted a little search on YouTube and I found a bunch of people shooting these together with magnified red dots at 100yds and beyond.
Doing a little research on a trigger job for this piece, I ran into a place called Volquartsen Custom (https://www.volquartsen.com/) which specializes in rimfire weapons. These people seem like they know what they are doing and they have a huge selection of aftermaket goodies for Ruger's 10/22 and their Mark series pistols. I'm strongly considering getting a Volquartsen Accurizing Kit for this pistol.

yeah I have a few Volq parts on my 10/22. The make decent parts for the money
wet look makes a gun not so shiny after a few trips into the grass
he likes to polish his barrel
Volq parts are ok, but still needs some TLC fitting.

No way, really!
Are you reffering to making them fit or to achieve optimum performance.

Well.. I just finished placing an order with Midway on a Volquartsen Accurizing Kit and a Volquartsen Volthane Target Grip for my Mk.III. The trigger kit is on back order but as soon as I have all the parts in, I'll take some pics following with a range report.
I'm really exited to try out the final package.

This morning I just finished installing the Accurizing kit and the Volthane target grip.
I'm very happy so far with the results.
The grip is very comfortable and even though it's a bit big for my hands, I think it will not be a factor due to the grip's contour and the fact that it is only a .22lr pistol thus having almost no re-coil.
The trigger kit feels really good so far. With the externally adjustable pre-travel screw and trigger stop, the trigger movement is greatly reduced. The let-off is crisp and can be adjusted to be right there with almost no travel. Even though they claim that it might need fitting by a smith, none was needed. I might contemplate the idea of polishing its contact points after I take it to the range. I can't wait until I try her out with the new hardware and when I do, I'll post a range report.

I have the same handle on my Mark II, but added rail and red dot. Love that little gun, accurate as all hell. I too want one of the Mark III SS's, just a pretty pistol, but would have left the nice cocobolo grips on it. Gives it a nice look.

The cocobolo grips certainly gives this handgun good looks. It shows off the luger type grip design but I had to give the looks up for functionality.
