Was at walmart really early today. Scored 4 boxes of the federal 550 packs and 2 boxes of 308. First time buying ammo from walmart in over a year!

Congrats... it isn't as rare as 45 showing up, but 550 packs do show up at least once a month.

Lucky.....I've been searching for 9mm at Walmart since I got up here and still have no luck. I ended up having to spend $15/box for 4 boxes this weekend at Dicks.

there's a ton of 40....i am in need of 9mm and 45acp =(. if this scarcity continues, only thing i can do is save up and buy online. but that doesn't feed that instant gratification the same way walking out of the store with ammo in your hands!

AIMsurplus, AmmunitionToGo, and (hate to say, sometimes even) AmmoMan are usually the 3 cheapest places to check online.

I scored too...
Federal Rem.223 55 grn. FMJ brass casing for 39.97 a box Value Pack 100....
I got the maximum they allow you to get. 6 boxes. I may go later after shift change and get another six boxes.
Walmart Hillsboro and 441 Deerfield/Parkland area... Go Score ! Hah!

Keep an eye for a week and you'll see your flavor pop up. I like the Federal HST's, but if you want performance through barriers (glass, sheetrock, etc) then the Speer LE Gold Dot's (the 50 packs, not the civilian 20 packs) are the best (and cheapest) way to go.

I've been hearing nothing but good things about Walmart these day as far as scoring ammo. I guess things are starting to look up some.

Unless you want 45 ammo... then it sucks to be you. Walmart always has 40, 9 is rare, and 45 is non-existent.

Just wanted to share an experience with you guys. This morning, i stopped by at walmart just to see what ammo i could find. Saw 4 sealed boxes. After a LONG wait, help finally arrived. 1 of the boxes was 308 and the other 3 were 9mm. 3000 rounds of 9mm!! Did i buy it? No... it was made by RWS, small 50 round boxes ...at $16.97 a box. Anyone else heard of this name? Black and dark orange box.

I just got 400 more rnds of 9mm at Wal-mart a couple of days ago. That brings me to a grand total of 900rnds. I am going to the range today to pop off about 200. :)

I told you before... Ammunitiontogo.com for 45 Defense ammo. Grab the Speer LE Gold Dots (50 round boxes) or the Federal LE HST's (50 round boxes).
