They probably wont win a fasion show, but they look like hard use knives. They don't look like practical carry set ups, more like fighters.

i actually really like the look of them. the tanto has a real japanese feel to them. Definitely not practical although some would make a nice neck knife.

yeah same here. im not really liking their karambit(sp?) style blades. extremely ugly if you ask me

They definitely need to learn what a tanto blade is. They have items listed wrong. The only thing that I see is useful is the one solid piece of steel. I love me some knives, but not really feeling these.

how is the tanto blade wrong? That looks like a japanese tanto to me. Could be wrong though

Lmao, you have a point there

but,

still doesnt disregard the fact that it IS a tanto blade. They said they are inspired by asian design. as a matter of fact they are based somewhere in asia if i am correct. dont get me wrong, i own the CRKT m16 Tanto and i love the design. but with my martial arts background i appreciate the Asian inspired design.

But hey to each their own, just dont discredit them for having the traditional tanto.

how is it for a daily carry? I think that was the model I was originally looking at..

i EDC'd it for a while and i really liked it and i like its opening system. its barely noticeable when you are carrying it because it weighs nothing and the black conceals it much better then a normal blade would. me likey and still carry it from time to time

The asian tanto's have not been popular for a very long time. Americanized tanto's are the way to go.

That is true. for some reason american tanto seems more threatening to me. i would hate to get stabbed with either but something about american tanto that just seems like itll hurt a hell of a lot more to me. I do need a new Knife though. i been carrying a Byrd knife by spyderco but its about time to switch, any suggestion for everyday carry?

Spyderco makes a nice product but when I see a lot of them they seem to more of a show knife rather than a useful knife. I carry my SOG Tac-Auto usually everyday. Every once in a while I will carry my Ka-Bar Hawk Bill Tanto though. I like to be spoiled by my automatic though. (which you need a conceal weapons permit to carry). There a lot of quality knives out there, just stick with the top manufacturer names and you will be good. Personally I prefer serrated tanto's but that's my taste.

Found the SOG Auto Tanto for 90$+shipping & 110$+free shipping. Also saw the SOG Auto Mini Tanto (3" instead of 3.5") for 110$+free shipping also.

There is obviously some very high markups going on with those products. And anytime I see those huge swings it makes me think of Monster Cables - MSRP for 100$, retail for 90$, dealer price 40$, manufacturing cost 4$.

wow manufacture cost for monster cables is really $4 that ridiculous

It's the same cheap Made In China shit you buy from Radio Shack with the RCA label on it. Don't let any fanboy ever convince you differently. lol
