that's pretty good, slowly places are starting to get ammo back here and there. once people have stocked up again it'll start to get easier to find. I still need to stock up again, nothing too crazy like some people are doing.

This is about the best deal going on .223 right now. $349.95 a 1,000 loaded on 10 round stripper clips in hermetically sealed plastic. Their website is one long scroll and you'll find it about 2/3's of the way down. Classic Arms is very good to deal with. There is even a video link on the website that shows this ammo being shot in various weapons. Bill T.

Yep, I remember when that ammo hit the site. It is pretty good stuff from what I've heard. It's actually US contractor ammo (same company that makes Centurion if I recall) that was made for the UAE and sat there for a few years unused. Now with their money crisis over there being the worst in the world, they are selling everything not bolted down.

This is perfect for storage ammo as it was sealed to survive the horrible conditions found in the sandbox. So if you want some SHTF ammo, this is the stuff to horde. As for shooting ammo, I would go with the Lake City M193 in the 30 round cartons on AIMSurplus. It works out to 330$/900, but it's package in a range friendly way which I think makes the value per round about the same between the two offerings. And when choosing between Federal Lake City and anything else... who would choose the other option, right? =)

Probably not going to happen. Even that large purchase is still considered part of larger field trials. Ammo makers will not go jumping on the bandwagon to produce clones of that ammo after they learned their lesson with 6.8SPC and its' short life span.

Luckygunner & Cheaperthandirt is like an eBay for ammo and accessories. Whatever is popular is horded and usually price-fixed instead of truly being competitive. You can pay lower prices @ Cabela's & Brownell's.

You're right but every once in a while I find myself buying some shit from Cheaper Than Dirt.
