I keep watching this and then looking at my partially build bench and I have to laugh to keep from crying LOLOLOL

Ok on a serious note it has definitely given me some great ideas to add to my bench etc. My bench is also doing double duty as my work bench in the garage so I did make mine higher so that I can work standing and still be comfortable.

Really appreciate your posting the vid!!!!!!

Being one of the first times I have built something from scratch out of wood, I learned a very valuable lession: Pre-drill holes into the wood rather than just drilling screws straight into the wood. If you don't you'll split the wood lol

yeah, pre-drilling def. helps. Also keep you from stripping out the heads. I also like to countersink stuff just so there arent nasty hang up spots on the bench. Ive recieved some nasty cuts from things like that.

Benches dont have to be works of art and they dont have to be expensive. I really went with pre-built cabinets because im lazy. I was very close to doing something just like your doing. Im a pretty firm believer in doing your first attempt at anything be that guns, benches yada yada on the cheap until you know exactly what you want.

Yh I learned a lot from this build even just from the frame I have built so far and especially from your build. Sure some of you are laughing about that being as simple as it was lol. I probably would have saved some time and the couple splits I had if I had just watched your vid before starting...oooops live and learn. I do plan on putting some shelving in though underneath as there is a lot of space and it would go to waste if I didn't.

Mine is 42" high (like I said I wanted to be comfortable standing and working as it will serve as a workbench as well), 6' long and the depth is about 32".
