Greetings to all,

I'm trying to get a friend of mine from MCS to come down to Florida to do an edged weapon course.
This post is to see who will be interested in attending such a course.
Time and place is to be determinded once I see whose interested and how many attendees etc.

Price of the course will be $250 a student.

Course Description: Inverted Edge Tactics

Inverted Edge Tactics is for the person who may have to rely on an edged weapon to save their life but does not wish to attend ongoing training to learn “knife fighting” secrets.

IET requires no prior training and does not rely on any specialized blades. IET is the only defense driven edged weapon system.

Topics covered include:

- Knife fighting vs defending yourself with a knife

- Selection of a primary defensive folder

- Carry of the primary defensive folder

- Deployment of the primary defensive folder

- Combative Anatomy

- Intentional vs default targeting

- Use of the knife while standing, kneeling and on the ground

Prerequisites: student must be in decent physical condition. Students must be 18 yrs or older (16 yrs accepted if attending with a parent or guardian)

Equipment: mouthpiece, eye protection and athletic supporter.

Date and placed will be determined if I get a valid interest. I need at least 10 people to make the course fly. Lets not all jump to sign up now! geez people we all carry a knife for added self protection!

I'm hoping! No one seems to be biting though.

I have done some knife training with some military guys and found it to be eye opening. Some small things people do can cause them to hurt themselves more than an attacker. Learning to use a knife correctly is not something most people learn how to do on their own.

I've also dabbled in it with a few military friends, but one of the main things he touches on for me with this training is knife fighting vs defending yourself with a knife. The points are so easily misconstrued. This will be a very informative and fast paced event that can and will benefit all who CCW since we all generally carry a folder of some sort for an added defense.

Can I use my tactical tomahawk? It hides really nice using my Sonny Crocket shoulder holster.

You can use whatever you like. It's a great course from what I hear. Feel free to checkout the site and other training:

he does, but I don't think it matters much here.
