I'd like a dozen of these please. Freaking autonomous Segway robots that zip around like human targets. And if you shoot one, the rest run for cover. Talk about realistic training. Why use poppers, that are predictable and static, when you could learn to lead moving random targets with no predetermined path?
Oh yes... if I had the land, I would have this setup in the backyard with a thick concrete wall around it. Could use it for urban combat or sniper training. Mmmm...
Yeah, I saw the system in Small Arms Review a few months ago. All I could think was that it's funny that toys and video games came up with the concept long before someone actually took the technology to actual field training.

New plan. When the Zombies come, we take a Wal-mart, gather supplies, and practice leaving among the undead. Then we head for the Segway factory, and assemble an army of robot warriors that will liberate the human race from zombies, but ultimately turn on us and lead us into the Matrix! That's a pretty cool training tool. I had the land and the funding I'd surely buy and use for live fire training.

Hey, technology will destroy us one day! Look what happened to Toyota's. They allowed a computer to control the accelerator rather than a mechanical device, and people started getting in wrecks and dying! And that's just the beginning! AHHHH!!!!!!!
On another note, I love technology.
