Are there any of you a NRA CRSO ?? :tiphat:

I am part of a "Training Team", that has 7 CRSOs ( 2 are SR.TC level, 2 are TC level.)

For the last 2 years we have been very busy
1. Training RSOs for several "gun clubs" More & more clubs are now req. NRA Cert. s for their RSOs ( think a push by Ins. COs & public Image")
2. Training BSA RSOs
3. Training a "few" LEs ( so they can have their own if the club they shoot @ req. NRA cert. RSOs )

During this time, we trained a couple of 100 + ( each year )

We also have ( our TCs ) trained a # of CRSOs. We try to see that each club or Org. has at least 1 CRSO of it's own. ( to maintain RSO training & supply themselves with new RSO,s

We also assist clubs & Org.s with their SOPs.

This year it looks like it will be a busy one.
Just completed a BSA cert. program for our local BSA camps.
2 clubs just revised their SOPs to req. NRA cert. & signed on for us to get their programs "rolling". ( the 1st starts this week ( a Major Local club) The RSO class will be 30 ( that was our cut off # as our "Training Team will be 4. ( all TCs.)

Any way how busy are you People ??? ( training, Working the "line", PROBLEMS, etc.) ??

MMMM, interesting

I had thought that with the # of NRA Instructors we had on board, that many would be RSOs, & a couple would be CRSOs. (it is an Inst. Level Cert.)

Be I be the ONLY ONE ?? :sofa: I am apprehensive to ask if there are any other TCs on board.

OMG = LONER ( OLD FART, CRSO, TC ) :yikes::yikes:

Should I :hide: ?? HELL NO, you guys will just HAVE TO SUCK IT UP :poke:

NOW BACK TO THE SUBJECT>

Perhaps you'all might "join together", step up & RECTIFY the "DEFICIENCY" :ewok:

Becoming a CRSO, for those of you that are NRA Instructors is very DU-ABLE . ( http://www.nrahq.org/education/training/rso.asp ) If you are interested & have ??? contact me.

Becoming a TC is a LOT more involved, IMHO worth the effort. ( http://www.nrahq.org/education/training/trainingcounselors/index.asp ) but IMHO, = GREAT rewards.

You might also get together, as BROTHERS, & put together "Training Teams"

You know, I can't help but noticed how much better you operate a computer than Secpro, and judging by your stories.... you got some years on most of us.

That would work until Gaylord(Cris) moves to TX with the other Chris, then I'm screwed. As far as I know we're the only ones in thisparticular area(South Florida).

If you do decide to look into it, PM me. I would be happy to give what ever info. I can. There is a "Great" need out there for CRSOs. Quite often, your "local" gun Range will even assist i $$$. ( the 7 I mentioned above are being "sponsored" by a "Gun club/Range & are providing the training facility & footing the $$$$:tiphat:
