anyone have any experience with this handgun?

thinking of picking one up as my every day carry.

i'm currently using a s&w 4053 and although it's a great gun, it's a bit large and heavy for me.

thoughts? comments?

Phil has the PX4, but not sc I think

Yep, I've got the full size. The big difference is that the subcompact is designed around a tilt barrel breech lock as opposed to the rotating barrel of the full sized PX-4. I haven't shot one yet to really give you an opinion tho other than to go to the berreta forum and see some first hand testimony.

I have shot the full size and hated it. I know several customers who have purchased the s/c and love them though. The one customer I see probably at least once a week and always raves about how good it shoots.

all are good, accurate and reliable. there are pros and cons for each.
the manufacturers are making this really hard.

XD9 is awesome, especially the one Cris has. You need to go steal his and try it out to understand

the manufacturers are making this really hard.It always comes down to this.... Go shoot them. Get the one that naturally feels "right" to you. For me, I like the XD. I like the sights, I like the grip, I like the grip angle, I love the trigger. Try it. Also, add the M&P to the list of guns to try. I have shot one and liked that too, but still like the XD better.

The Ruger's triggers remind me of a cap gun.

The newest gen SR9 trigger is not as bad as the S&W Sigma or the S&W/Walther P99. I can't recall cap guns with worse triggers than those.

quite a few posts on either failure to fire and or the finish peeling off of the beretta px4sc. not good.

looks like the xd has the edge, especially since they have 13 round mags now.
