I haven't gotten that far yet! C3PO or somee of the other guys maybe better able to aid ya with that one.
I am by far no expert on these weapons but I highly recommend a C3PO trigger job.
A match barrel and bushing isn't the all in answer to accurizing your Springfield. It could be a few things, but if you consistently get poor results using a pistol rest you probably are on the right track and may need to have someone install a quality barrel and bushing set; however, a fitted bushing alone could do wonders. You have a lot of choices with match barrel sets but they all require a lot of custom fitting to get the tight tolerances yet still reliably function. A GI model 1911 IMHO is not the best base to start off with tho, as you will at minimum have to address the crappy sights and probably poor slide to frame fit.

So what your saying is the GI is only good for going bang and hope to scare whoever..? Why would springfield even bother making such a gun and its not even a throw away...
Not what I'm saying. It's just more work that could get expensive beyond buying one already tight and matched.

I like screwing around and doing the upgrades even though its gets expensive. It's a bonding experience as aposed to buying one already tricked out.
