Want to take my granps there shooting as it is the only range close to him (he lives in south kendall by metro zoo) How far is the walk from parking to range? He has a bummed knee so can't walk very far, just want to plan accordingly. Do they sell refreshments there (hot as africa really quick now a days)?
IF anyone knows of any range closer to kendall PLEASE enlighten me

Not to much walkin from point A-B. Soda machine available that sells water gatorade/powerade, plus of course soda.

If possible.
Try going weekday mornings. At that time most of the people out there are knowledgeable, retired gun enthusiast.
On the weekends, you'll have more of a chance of runing into thugs and NUBs which makes the range operations quite interesting.
and BTW. That is the most Southern public range and just in case you don't know, there is a basic mandatory safety course/class before they can issue you and your Grands a range pass/card. The class is simple and mostly to teach to procedures and practices needed so you don't piss off the Range Master.

Thanks. How come no other ranges further south? Zoning thing? Is there any gun shops further south? I thought there would be a gun range for sure somewhere in Cutler Ridge, Homestead etc.......... But never found anything online, now I know why. Yeah it would definetly be a weekday thing, I hate crowds for anything I do.

Poss. so. A while back a couple of friends of mine along with myself used to go to a private property in Homestead were we paid $10 a piece and and we were on our own, as long as we picked up targets and shells after the outing. To make the long story short, City of Homestead shut him down but at least they didn't fined him.
Gun shops? Not aware of any and if there are any they would be small ones.
I do go to place every now and then, which is off Chrome Ave. where I take the toys that do not quite mix well with the range's procedures.

You got Lou's and Boresight Soulutions LLC dables in firearms down yonder also.
Lou's is waaaay up in northern Hialeah tho. I'd say they are closer to us in Broward than all the way in the Kendall area.

Never been there. i just knew that they operated out in MIA. If that's the case though I think Boresight might even be close.

there's Homestead Guns and Ammo. they're right next door to Gusto's Restaurant.
and i think there's a private range in key largo somewhere, but the waiting list is long.

Oh well guess Tamiami in the heat will have to do. Might wait to take him when things are a tad cooler.
