I think that's pretty fucked. Would suck if it were 100% true. Some LEOs throw dirt on the badge and it makes the good ones look bad. Sucks big time. Hopefully the truth works itself out and all parties involved get what they deserve.

yup and did you hear about Erik Scott getting shot by cops in Vegas? Reading up on it now. Apparently he is a CCW holder and was shopping at Costco and was opening some packages to see if some water bottle would fit something. When be bent over an employee noticed he was CCW and called the cops. The cops came and shot him and claimed he pointed a gun at them but it seems that all the witnesses are saying that he never pointed a gun. He was a West Point grad, MBA grad of Duke etc. Still reading it now.

Too bad for Erik Scott, open carry laws would've protected him. That whole incident was all the result of an overly fearful employee that saw his pistol brandish while bending over.
The Cali guy that had his home illegally raided is pure bullshit and harms the ability for LEO's to perform their lawful duties with a 2-way street of respect with the citizens. But this continues to be a common issue in California, police brutality and corruption. Each time the LEO's there claim stress of their environment because Cali has such high crime rates. Well, stop fucking with citizen rights by your communist lawmakers and the people would quiet down. And let people have their guns freely to protect themselves and violent crimes wouldn't be so high either.
Typical lawmaker - "Crime is through the roof, people are being robbed, raped, and killed. What can we do?"
Law-Abiding Citizen - "Give us back our guns and our rights to protect ourselves openly."
Typical lawmaker - "No, we need to add another law, not take some away. If we don't keep making new laws then how can we justify our jobs?"
Law-Abiding Citizen - "There is no justification for the unconstitutional laws and restrictions you place on the people. Your actions are nothing short of treasonous to this state and this nation. You should be shot, hung, then electrocuted as good measure."

For Erik Scott they are still sorting it out right? Seems like someone, either Costco or the cops, are sitting on a tape and don't want to release it as it seems it was an unlawful shooting.

Just read this article on Scott. Several witnesses say that he never brandished a weapon like officers said he did.

California is bad with that brutality stuff man..some cops think that shield is a "I rule the world" pass...stupid them. Cops are the most scrutinized people around these days...and it's only going to get worse in the upcoming years. Every time something like this comes up, you give lawmakers and department brass ammunition to install dash mounted cameras, lapel mics and all this other crap they have out there; a cop's word is no longer his bond these days. The pool of decent applicants is getting smaller and smaller every day..America needs to get their act together.

These fuckers will get off!!! They have their badges and their fucking unions to protect them! They hide and alter evidence and just generally make shit up.
Sure there are good cops. Once they get a few years in and realize that they have a cush union job...whoosh...out go the " I want to help the people of my community" and in come the " I have a union job, and I can do whatever I want!"
I hope those cock-suckers in New Orleans go bye bye for a long fucking time!!!!

Most of the cops in my area are just a bunch of guys that were probably picked on in high school, so now they push people around with there shiny badges.

I don't think that's true..I think the average cop out there tries to do a good job, but over the years become jaded and go from truly trying to help to simply doing what you can for that moment. The reason for that is because depending on what neighborhood you work in, or geographical region you're in, you deal with different types of people who may or may not listen to what you have to say. The NO cops were dirty people to begin with, they just happen to slip through the cracks to get the job. That happens in every job. Always remember "absolute power corrupts absolutely".

I will agree with you 100% ! I had a lot of BSO buddies that worked out of the Deerfield Beach office. They would often say the same thing. You come in with the best intentions, but quickly become jaded!

I did a ride along recently with some Deerfield guys and they're stand up guys over there. I met a guy who was even an asshole like I am literally.

It's very true..ask any cop in a BUSY area...not Coral Springs or some "C" house..it's very hard not to lose yourself when you work in the hood. Good cops in busy houses become so embedded in the community they patrol, they become part of the fabric of that community..no matter if they live miles away from it. You hear the same stories over and over, see such violence and hurt; you can't help but be jaded. I thought the hood in NYC was bad..doesn't hold a candle to Miami Gardens..not til I started working here have I seen guys get hit with an AK-47...no wonder they call em "choppers"..

10-4 on that! I never thought Florida had any real hoods until I started venturing to Miami. Place is rediculous!!

One of the places I service is in Opa Locka on the boarder of Miami Gardens.....I am nervous getting out of the car in the middle of the day, I wouldnt drive in a 10 mile radius of that place at night.
