I am narrowing it down, I am in the right direction though, down to the elitist guns so far. :eek:

the lack of the FA would lead me to a DPMS sportical but the Hex screw messes that up somewhat

I think the shape of the hammer is very telling. Doesn't have the "tail" like a DPMS....

DPMS has the flat top hex screw in their kits, just like the one in the photo.

DPMS has a flat, no tail hammer as well, just like the one in the photo.

I'd bet that's a DPMS rifle.

DPMS uses straight slot screws for their grips, at least all the ones I have built

I've seen one of both actually, depending on when the kit was made.
