it's pretty awesome, my buddy found the upper with the mag for $550 shipped, not too bad. the ammo is like $1 something a shot if I remember, that's a bummer :(

As for ammo...yeah....an expensive gun to shoot...def not something to take shooting on the weekends with.... at least in my pay grade.

it would be fun to go plinking with, see what kinda damage you could do to a watermellon :D it would also be cool if it came with a low profile gas block, then I could just slip a Troy rail right one :cool:

Just wondering. which would you guys get...beowulf or a saiga 12? need decision ASAP!! $900 for upper, reloading dies and 183 rounds.
BTW, i need to find a source to buy ammo for this other than directly from alexander arms lol

There isn't any other source. Alexander Arms has the lock on 50 Beo. Avoid it for now, wait for more makers to get behind it. It is likely going to become a dead cartridge because Alexander won't license it out.
I already looked into doing a 50Beo build and said fuck it after I saw all the hurdles involved.
Arent there some uppers that are chambered for the .50BMG? That would probably be the better and cheaper .50 cal option.
