It's a solid piece of mahogany. No Connector between the body and the neck. There's active Seymour Duncan USA Live Wire pick ups in it that are quite colorful for active pickups. Which is exactly what I was looking for, because I wanted something that could do bone crushing metal tones and nice clean tones as well. The action on the neck is incredible. I hopped on this thing and pulling off an Iron Maiden solo has never been easier. Also, the paint job just fucking rocks. I am not one for painted up flashy guitars, but I just thought this one was an exception that I had to have. So I paid the extra cash for the paint job so I have something a little more exciting and unique. Hope you like it. I sure as hell do. \m/ ^_^ \m/
