View Full Version : Next Purchase
So what do you have in mind for your next firearm purchase?
maybe a marine shotgun ;)
Maybe a Kahr PM9 or a Ruger LCP (if I ever make it to the top of the list). Of course my wish list also includes a couple of HK's and a couple of Colts. As far as rifles, I really liked Chris' GSG when we were at Markham, but I know what sort of lunatic project I would make it to be, so I've been holding off on that as well.

It's still in the shop.
Scopes and Ammo. :D
Are either of these firearms?
Are either of these firearms?
No...but they'd be for the four firearms we purchased in the past two weeks. :D

Hi! New member here... I'm trying to figure out what would be a good 12 gauge short-barreled shotgun to get for home defense and shooting at the range. I'm 130 lbs. in good shape, but want something that's not gonna knock me on my ass either, lol. I do like the Mossberg pump shotguns, just don't know models very well. I hear they are more affordable and just as good as Remington.
Thoughts?
PS - Currently I have a BRAND NEW standard-size Glock 21 .45 ACP that I'm trying to sell or exchange for a shotgun, cause it's just not comfortable in my hand to shoot. Bastards at gun shop sold it to me anyway (before I had my firearms instruction class and CWP class - darn it). I landed up joining an outdoor range and got a nice discount on my new S&W 9mm M&P compact which has interchangeable grips and can be customized easily for a lefty like me. I just got the luminating front sight - LOVE IT! Waiting on my CWP, then plan to buy a .380 for my pocket or handbag (Kel-tec maybe?) Thanks for any suggestions!!!

yeah I agree with the 500 persuader, also you should have NOOOOOOO issue trading a glock 21 for that shotgun, you should actually get the shotgun and some cash out of that deal

P220 Carry Elite or Carry Elite Stainless, but I need to find grips similar to the ones on the P220 Platinum Elite in black, if they make it

+1 on the Mossberg persuader or the breacher.
Don't screw yourself on the the glock trade, you can get some cash back with that trade.
Don't screw yourself on the Kel-tec either, they are crap. Get the Ruger LCP if its any easier to get in your area. With your CWP in process it may be good to get on a local waiting list.

Must be nice to purchase this all at once. This means you will never have another day off again.

That's the way to go...shoot all day for a few bucks.
I'm not waiting till after Christmas, I will just shoot Dave's. LOL!!!

Good advice, Cris - and the Ruger LCP is sweeet! Check out this review and testing of it:

Ruger LCP is nice for the size and weight, but I'd prefer my Beretta Tomcat 32 over it

The Ruger LCP was made along the same lines as the Kel-Tec you were looking at, just they made it much better. That gun is very small even fully loaded you don't know its in your pocket. The only thing you will have to get used to is the comically long trigger pull. I have been waiting for mine since March, still waiting also.

I'm still waiting to get prices back on those Sig's.....
Call Nicky during the day, that is the best way to get it. The suppliers close at 5pm.

I just heard that Kahr is coming out with a .380 that's supposed to be good. Familiar? My instructor up here says he's gonna get one. He's also Glock/NRA certified instructor, etc. He seems to think it's nothing more than an expensive Kel-tec, lol (except he did admit he likes that it locks back on the last shot)... Hmmmm.
I've also been recommended the Tomcat 32. Since I am slender and tend to wear fitting clothing (tank tops, sweatpants, etc.) mostly, unless I'm wearing a jacket, it's harder for me to conceal, so I need something accordingly, but with some punch... just enough to get me out of a situation. There are always hollowpoints too ;)
Is there a big difference from a 32 to .380 (considering you're packing hollowpoints)? Power, cartridge size, etc?
Thanks for feedback!

Does Guntech currently have Glock 30's in stock? I have a day off coming soon and I'll probably stop by and buy one.
Yes they do, they just got a shipment in on Friday.
