right off of Krome ave and 8th st
went today right when the opened.. place was pretty full both pistol side and riffle.. just shot the AR.. still trying to get this thing zero'd in.. but I keep moving things around.. almost there at 50 yrd

No I'm not. Ocala national forest. I swear my grouping was about how his is from 100yds. AR15 is easy. Point and shoot. Personally I didn't think I did that good. It was my first time ever shooting the damn thing. I was just trying to aim for the middle and line the sights up the best I could. Maybe my heart is just young and steady.

Both Ocala National and Osceola National have public rifle ranges. Once I have a couple AR's built I'll be heading there to check it out. Looking forward to that 1000 yard range in Sarasota also.

I've never been to Oceola, but the range in Ocal is the shyt. A free range with no range Nazi's. damn good shooting out there! It's been a while since my last trip out. though. You see a few of these though::rich::hunter:
The 1,000 yrd range is Manatee. I've never been there, but Bushido's Precision Rifle course will be held there next month. From google, I can only make out a 300 yrd range and I can only guess where their 1,000 yrd backstop might be.

The main strip from SSE to NNW is the 1000yd range, those are just a couple sand dunes along the way (no shadow like the shooters area has). Off to the left are the pistol/archery ranges.
They also have a 100yd machine gun range according to their site but I think it is special occasions on the 1000yd course, or they use the spare area in the NNE zone.
If you guys every want to setup a really long and fun range day (like a once a year event for all of us here on TacAd) then I say this should be the place. We can bring all our weapons out here for a damn good day of shooting and talking shit.
Hell if we got enough people involved we could probably rent the place for a day. =)

The smaller the caliber the more rounds you'll likely need to take down a 300lbs assailant, because you're not likely to line up a one-shot kill when they're within 15ft.
You need an upgrade.
