Cmagz, there is a Glock 27 at the shop that another one of your buddies turned down the other night. Thing doesn't even look like its been fired. Rich was asking $400 for it, they are $500 new. Ask Adam about it, it was a great deal.

Nice weapons! I was at Guntech earlier today looking at the 30 and the 30 slim-frame. Both are great!! I am definitely buying the 30, in two weeks. Got a good price ($ 550), which is about the same at Lou's, but without the aggravating drive down there!!

I like the SF but still not a glock fan. How'd you like the new shop Doug?

The shop is very nice! It was extremely busy as usual, and I waited in line for 25 minutes, but it was ok. It was better than waiting in the old "waiting room" as if you were waiting to be booked. LOL!

Yeah it has been crazy there lately. They are hoping the madness settles down a bit so they can finish getting Nicky setup in the front.

Is it true that everyone thinks Obama is going to take everyone's guns away?

People just don't think. People went into a panic, still can't believe how people have reacted to this election.

People just don't think. People went into a panic, still can't believe how people have reacted to this election.I can believe it, because of all the hype and propaganda the NRA and other groups put all over the internet. They made people think that Obama was going to like walk into our homes and take our guns away! OH NOES! But the truth is, he probably won't be able to change shit. Maybe get the assault weapons ban reinstated resulting in higher taxing on them, but that probably won't even happen until 2012, because I'm sure he wants to try and get reelected.

handgun laws are controlled at the state level. that is the one thing that people forgot about. he would have to start there, and anything done at the state level is a long drawn out process.

The assault weapons ban didnt have anything to do with taxes. it eliminated the ability to purchase and manufacture firearms to a certain spec.

I just don't like them at all. They don't feel good, they don't shoot good. This is my taste as it may work for some people it doesn't work for me.

Unfortunately Firearm legislation regarding certain things may hinder more than you realize. If capacity was limited by federal legislation all manufacturers would be forced to comply whether or not a state decided to allow pre-ban(for lack of a better term)articles.
Also with the current state of the branches of Government at the federal level legislation coud be pushed through VERY VERY quickly. Not saying that it would be but Good sense gun regulation doesnt usually have alot of good sense.

To understand the HYPE of the NRA as stated before google HR 1022 and the like bills being introduced or still floating around out there. Though I dont agree with the uproar there is a real and tangible threat to gun owners in our country right now BELIEVE ME.
The proposal of micro-stamping which is gaining momentum could force ammo prices up to uncomprehesible levels and the regulation of firearms due to looks over function could destabilize the industry.
Just the nod to allow uncontrolled lawsuits to OEM manufacturers could run the business into the ground in a relatively short period of time.
Sorry for the rant but everyone needs to understand this isnt as cut and dried as it seems.
I am saddened to see references to the NRA in regards to hyping or creating undue opinions. The fact of the matter is this, without the NRA Heller vs. DC most likely would not have been heard or upheld.
The Victims of the Katrina confiscation would never have procured justice from that travesty.
There would most likely be no concealed carry in Florida or nearly anywhere else in the United States and the Clinton Gun ban would have been reinstated.
Never underestimate the power of a grass roots lobby. Without the NRA our rights would have eroded to next to nothing long ago.

again sorry for the rant!
